Choose a format for your distribution

Prefer DEB on Ubuntu and Debian, RPM on Fedora and RHEL-based systems, or AppImage if you do not want to write to system directories. Also confirm the processor architecture, such as x86_64 or ARM64.

Install and check dependencies

Install a DEB or RPM through your distribution's package manager so it can resolve dependencies. Grant execute permission before launching an AppImage for the first time, and run only commands explicitly required by the project documentation.

Configure proxy or service mode

On a desktop, enable the system proxy first to verify connectivity. For TUN, systemd, or a headless service, follow the client's instructions for permissions, routing, DNS, and startup configuration.
