When choosing a Clash client in 2026, start with your devices, then consider how many features you are willing to manage
All three clients can work with Mihomo configurations, but they have different priorities. For Windows, macOS, or Linux only, start with Clash Verge Rev. If you want a similar interface on desktop and Android, consider FlClash.
If you want subscription organization, overrides, and more advanced tools inside one desktop app, then consider Clash Party, the continuation of the former Mihomo Party project.
One clarification about “Mihomo Party”: its official repository has moved to mihomo-party-org/clash-party, and the product now uses the name Clash Party. Searching the old name surfaces many historical tutorials and third-party downloads, so install only from the current project repository and release page.

If you only need long-term desktop use, start with Clash Verge Rev
Clash Verge Rev remains actively maintained, with Windows, macOS, and Linux builds on its releases page and Mihomo underneath. It puts subscriptions, proxy groups, the system proxy, TUN, logs, and overrides into a familiar desktop workflow that is also easier for people migrating from Clash for Windows to understand.
Recommending it does not mean enabling every toggle. On first use, import one subscription, choose a fixed node, and enable the system proxy. After checking browser and terminal behavior, test TUN or Merge separately. Windows 7 is outside current support; users on older systems should not seek repackaged installers from unknown sources.

If you use both a computer and Android, FlClash's consistency matters more
The official FlClash project supports Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, with a Material You interface, subscription management, and WebDAV sync. Its cross-platform value lies mainly in consistent names, configurations, and operating habits—not identical traffic-capture capabilities on every system.
Android still depends on VPN permission, battery optimization, and background management. Desktop systems instead involve the system proxy, administrator privileges, and firewalls. After syncing a configuration to a phone, verify VPN authorization, per-app policies, and DNS again; an identical node list does not mean an identical network path.
Clash Party is more of an advanced workbench than another visual theme
The current Clash Party project is built with Electron. Its official feature list includes the Mihomo core, TUN without service mode, WebDAV, overrides, and Sub-Store. For users who organize multiple subscriptions, frequently edit rules, or want more processing inside the app, these integrations reduce tool switching.
When subscription conversion, overrides, scripts, and core settings all coexist, there are more possible failure points. If the raw subscription loads but the final configuration reports group not found or unknown field, disable conversion and overrides for comparison; do not reset nodes, DNS, and TUN together.
Electron apps also typically use more memory than lighter desktop shells, so test them on older computers.

Assess maintenance status from official repositories and release history, not a download site's “latest version” label. None of the three apps should be installed from third-party bundles that include nodes, subscriptions, or so-called enhanced rules. Before choosing, open the current releases page and verify support for your operating system and architecture.
Testing the same clean configuration for one day reveals more than a feature table
Do not migrate every setting at once
Prepare the test configuration
Keep only one trusted subscription, without the old client's Merge, scripts, or cache.
Pin a node
Choose the same region and node in all three clients so automatic benchmarking does not change the outbound route.
Test the system proxy first
Open a browser, Git, or a common work app, then record connections and rule matches.
Test TUN only if needed
Observe administrator privileges, the virtual adapter, sleep/wake behavior, and conflicts with other VPN software.
Quit normally
Confirm that the system proxy and network recover and that the configuration still updates after startup the next day.
Do not run two clients at once. Even with different interface ports, they may still compete for the system proxy, TUN, DNS, or startup services. Fully quit one before testing the other, and use Task Manager to confirm that the old core is not still running in the background.
Without specialized requirements, the choice can be straightforward

- Prefer Clash Verge Rev. Its features and troubleshooting entry points are sufficient; stabilize the system proxy and subscription updates first.
- Need both Android and desktop
- Try FlClash first, focusing on background permissions and DNS on each platform instead of interface consistency alone.
- Comfortable with Mihomo and frequently process subscriptions
- Try Clash Party. Start with a configuration that has no overrides, then enable Sub-Store, overrides, or sync one item at a time.
- Still use an older system or configuration
- Verify operating-system and core compatibility first; do not download a so-called “compatibility-enhanced edition” from an unofficial site.
The client you keep should accomplish four things on your devices: update subscriptions reliably, make rule matches understandable, preserve networking when enabled and exited, and provide traceable official releases. Feature count comes after those four.
